Babble: The Virtual Tower of Babel
The Installation

The Installation is based on a kiosk which resembles the bird kiosks of the Rambles in Barcelona. This kiosk houses the user and allows for the public to follow his/her experience through some monitors.

The users wear a head mounted display. The transient's mobility is controlled through a 3D navigation interface with 6 degrees of freedom such as a Magellan or Spaceball. The direction of his view point is controlled through a sensor placed in the head mounted display.

Before entering Babble, the user is given an explanatory leaflet in thirteen languages, designed in the fashion of the instructions of an electric appliance.
